An island source revealed that Latchman has no known relatives on the Caribbean island and that his family is in the UK.

A friend who had been looking after him said: ” We don’t know anything about him other than that he was living in one part of the island and relocated to the South where he was being taken care of in a care home. He is now dead and we would like to locate his family in the UK.

Latchman is said to be of Caribbean origins and it is not known how he got to be living in St Lucia.

Authorities are searching for his family in the UK and have put out a search on social media which has proved futile according to the friend who wants to remain anonymous.

“They have tried contacting people in the UK but to no avail. When we first found out about him we put flyers out on Facebook and Whatsapp but no one recognised him. We tried our utmost to reach out but no one was able to assist.

” We believe his family are in the UK and may not know anything about him going missing and him being dead now.”
