British Woman Killed In Portugal By Partner Named— Exclusive

The British woman stabbed to death by her partner in a hotel corridor in Portugal has been named and pictured for the first time.

Tsar ‘Tessa’ Sydney,34, from West London, was attacked in Albufeira, in the Algarve, on Tuesday September 1 2026 at about 6pm

Police arrested a 34-year-old British national believe to be her partner who is also from West London on suspicion of murder as they continue their investigations into her death.

Officers said a young girl believe to be the couple’s daughter had also been injured during the incident and was taken to hospital.

A family source from West London where the the family live said that the victim’s mother is on her way to Portugal to assist investigators with inquiries and to help bring the baby girl who witnessed the incident home.

The family member said that the whole family is shock at the tragic incident. ” Everyone is sad about this. We all are. Nobody was expecting this kind of sad news and now we have it is so sad. “She adds.” They went out there on a short holiday and now this tragedy. We cannot say much at this moment as we mourn.”

According to a close family friend, Tsar who has kept a low profile on social media was visiting Portugal with her partner and daughter and was staying at a four star hotel when she was stabbed.

Police rushed to the hotel to find Tsar who has lived in West London for most of her life unresponsive with multiple stab wounds 6.42pm.

All efforts to revive her proved unsuccessful and she was pronounced dead at the scene.

The suspect who is not being named but is believed to be her partner remains in police custody and is due to appear before a judge where he is expected to be remanded in custody at a closed-court hearing later today or tomorrow.
