Nov 22, 2025 #Fire, #Restaurant, #Usain Bolt

A fire swept through Usain Bolt’s Tracks and Records restaurant on Gloucester Avenue in Montego Bay, St James, during the early hours of Saturday morning.

The blaze erupted around 1 a.m., causing extensive damage to the popular dining establishment located on the Hip Strip, one of Jamaica’s most vibrant tourist corridors.

Emergency services responded to the scene, but the fire left significant destruction to the restaurant, which has become a landmark since opening its doors in 2018.

The timing of the disaster is particularly tragic as the establishment had been actively supporting hurricane relief efforts. Tracks and Records was participating in the World Central Kitchen project, providing daily meals to communities devastated by Hurricane Melissa.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation. There have been no immediate reports of injuries.

Tracks and Records, founded by Olympic legend Usain Bolt, has been a fixture of Montego Bay’s entertainment and dining scene, attracting both tourists and locals with its sports-themed atmosphere and Caribbean cuisine.

The loss represents not only a blow to the local hospitality industry but also disrupts vital community support services the restaurant was providing in the aftermath of the recent hurricane.
