Unsolved British Murder In The Caribbean Was Carried Out By Killer with Syrian Connections

AfroSaxonVoice has unearthed sensational new evidence in the hunt for the killer of a British Hotelier who was killed in the Caribbean in 2014.

Today we can reveal the shocking truth about the murder of St Lucian-born Briton Oliver Gobat. Our information will come as a surprise to the police and the Crown Prosecution Service on the West Indian island who have stopped investigating the brutal murder of Gobat.

Our breakthrough came when we tracked down a 43-year-old former police informer who spoke to us exclusively from a hideaway not far from where the badly burnt body of 38-year-old Oliver Gobat was found in April 2014. He had been shot twice in the head while sitting in the passenger seat of his Range Rover before the vehicle – with his body inside it – was torched.

The informer until now terrified to go to the police hears the confidence of much of the Gros Islet community, a town in the North of St Lucia where the murder took place.

She revealed to AfroSaxonVoice that the murder was carried out by someone from the Syrian community. We have the full name and moniker of the man said to have ordered the horrific killing and the address where he is living at present. We have been reliably informed that he is a top Arab businessman with a huge business portfolio in the island’s capital Castries and nearby Rodney Bay, a stone’s throw from where the former Surrey cricketer was gunned down in cold blood.

The woman who has connections in the Police force told our reporter: “The young man knew his killers before he perished and the local police know a lot more but they are not prepared to solve this case just yet. They fear embarrassing the family of the suspect concerned. They know who he is and there is a silent conspiracy to keep this case cold for a little while yet. They are moving slowly and there is no one to push them so they can solve this case.

A lot of murders have taken place and the police are not endeavouring to bring the killers to justice. They just sit around all day and can’t be bothered to do some proper detective work to bring suspects in to face justice.

They know who is responsible but because he is a prominent Middle East businessman they don’t want to bring him in for questioning. If this murder was carried out by a local man they would not hesitate to bring him in and to charge him with this heinous crime. They are doing their best to sweep this under the carpet and to cover it up the best they can. 

This is not fair and justice needs to be served and done. We don’t want people getting away with murder in the country. This is not fair for the victims. They want closure for the departed souls of their loved ones. 

I will say it again the police know who done this. If I know then they know. I was given first-hand information from someone at the heart of our Royal St Lucia Police Force. The officers in charge should stop acting like amateurs and be more professional in their approach to apprehend the killer.”

Mr. Gobat’s parents Theo and Helen Gobat have launched their own private investigation into his murder.

The couple has put up a £60,000 reward in a last-ditch attempt to try and find his killers. 

The manner of Mr. Gobat’s death, on a remote track a mile from the upmarket Cap Maison hotel he ran in the north of the island, has led police to believe he was the victim of a contract killing. Police sources previously stated Mr. Gobat’s death was ‘no ordinary murder’ and it had ‘all the hallmarks of a professional killing’. “The police need to look at that theory.” said the informer who promise to keep AfroSaxonVoice up to date with the ongoing investigation.” A contract was taken out on this man’s head over a deal which went wrong. The CPS and the police knows it and they are doing nothing about it.”
